Proudly built our own floating barges and established “United Marine Units Co.” (U.M.U) as a subsidiary under El Hamamsy Marine Services, particularly dedicated for sawn timber shipments discharging, providing our own floating terminal to our clients.
United Marine Units (UMU) is the first subsidiary company under El Hamamsy Marine Services Ltd. and the first of its kind to be owned by a shipping agency in Egypt; we are proud to be the market leaders in this regard, who specialize in owning and managing floating barges for sawn timber shipments and other bulk commodities as Salt, Slag and Coal.
UMU was established in April 2016, owning 4 newly built barges as a start, where each barge individually varies around 170 GT. We apply the highest standards to ensure safety of our crew, environment and port as well.
