Ms. Marwa El Hamamsy handles day to day claims and managing complex casualties in the Egyptian ports. Joined in 1999, Ms. Marwa El Hamamsy has gained comprehensive experience in the company’s business operations and has been actively involved in marine claims and p&i / h&m club issues, serving the interests of a broad range of local and international insurance clients.

Ms. Marwa El Hamamsy had graduated from Alexandria University in 1999 with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, after which she joined El Hamamsy Marine Services and gained comprehensive experience in the company’s business operations.

Initially, and as a fresh graduate, she used to assist in setting the marketing plan for the company’s operations and coordinate human resources related tasks when necessary. Afterwards, she worked for one year in the accounting department, handling the agency disbursements for the company’s main clients. Starting 2004, she has begun to realize her passion in marine claims handling and all types of ship operations incidents, meeting the demands of shipowners, p&i clubs and h&m underwriters.

As a thoughtful leader, Ms. Marwa El Hamamsy holds a BIMCO certification for attending the master class workshop ‘Bills of Lading’ since 2007. She has also attended the ‘Introduction to Marine Insurance’ course organized by GARD Academy in 2012. In 2017, she finished her post graduate diploma in Marine Insurance from the World Maritime University and Lloyds’ Maritime Academy.
