ch. eng. ibrahim dawoud is a Sr. Operations Manager
at El Hamamsy Marine Services Ltd.

Ibrahim joined the company in 1983. Before joining the team, Ibrahim had spent 12 years in the sea service and he has joined the Egyptian, Algerian and Cypriot fleets.

During his professional affiliation, Ibrahim has attended several kinds of vessel and cargo condition surveys. His responsibilities cover several hull and machinery damage surveys, steel weight calculations and repair costs, as well as damage nature, extent and cause definitions, in addition to working side by side with late Capt. El Hamamsy in groundings and major casualties.

Ibrahim is currently responsible for all agency related matters in Alexandria port as well as he is the timber expert, handling annually all agency vessels discharging sawn timber shipment exceeding one million CBM of timber annually. He also ensures that vessels operations are running on the efficient way and that productivity rates & vessels’ turnover are always at the highest levels in Alexandria port.

Ibrahim holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, from the Naval Academy since 1968. In 1982, he obtained the ‘Certification of Competency’ as a Marine Chief Engineer from the Arab Academy for Science and Technology and Maritime Transport. Later in 1990, Ibrahim received the approval by the Egyptian Insurance Supervisory Authority as a Marine Surveyor.
